Baron Ranch TrailsBaron Ranch Group Run

Just 18 months ago the Baron Ranch Trails and the surrounding landscape were devastated by the Alisal Fire. Winter rain events hard hit the Arroyo Quemado Trail from Calle Real to Camino Cielo, but trail crews have been out addressing a wide range of slide and erosion issues. Despite the fire and winter storm damage, the trail offers extraordinary vistas as you climb the back of the canyon to the crest of the Santa Ynez Mountains. The elevation at Camino Cielo is 2500 feet.

turn left at signDistance options over the 12-mile out-and-back route include 6 miles, 12 miles, and a double out-and-back for 24 miles.

Volunteers will be at the trailhead to greet runners, offer a free Trails Council bandana, and pop open an ice chest of cold beverages as folks make their way back to the trailhead.

In an effort to get more people to know about the trail we are asking runners to share their experiences and post their times for the Arroyo Quemado Trail. If you use Strava, please join the Island View Trail Run Group
