Trail run proceeds benefit the Franklin Trail Fund. The Trails Council, along with community partners and supporters, maintain single track trail through the Los Padres National Forest to the crest of the Santa Ynez Mountains. We are now raising funds to repair the Franklin Trail segment on the north side of the mountains that goes to Jameson Lake. This gives us the possibility of extending the event farther into the forest.

The Santa Barbara County Trails Council’s mission is to protect public trail access, build and maintain safe and sustainable trails, and promote public engagement in land stewardship and trail use for all types of outdoor recreation.

This trail run is held under a special use permit and in partnership with the Los Padres National Forest.
